The Executive Committee of the Sri Lanka Army Engineer Association observed the drawbacks in communicating in real time with its membership of over 1500 members while conducting the business of the Association in April 2022. A website was seen as one option to create awareness and provide a platform for members to communicate and interact speedily leading to the efficient conduct of business. Major General SK Thirunavukarsu RSP VSV USP (Retd), a member of the Executive Committee volunteered to design, develop and sponsor the cost to make the website a reality.

I am glad to announce the launching of the website on the 20^th of August 2022 by the Patron of the Sri Lanka Army Engineer Association, Lt Col VSM Jayawardhana (Retd) RSP USP psc MSc(Def) FCMI.

I wish the membership will now access the website to be aware of the activities of the Association, communicate and contribute to the progress of business of the Association bringing to bear the diverse talent and ability of each and every member.

I am confident that the oversight committee guided by Major General SK Thirunavukarsu (Retd) RSP VSV USP will maintain the website up to date.
